Regular cannabis seeds

Regular cannabis seeds are non-feminized seeds. The plants from these seeds can be either female or male. The chance that the plant is a hermaphrodite, a plant with female and male sexual characteristics, is very small with regular seeds. Good stabilized cannabis strains are not possible without regular seeds. New strains also come first in a non-feminized version.

Propagating strong and vital plants

If you want to crossbreed your own strain or provide yourself with your own cannabis seeds, regular seeds are indispensable. The female plants from regular seeds are very strong, vital and stress resistant. If you flower one or two plants it is quite interesting to germinate a few more seeds and select one or two female plants. It is important, however, to remove the male plants before they start spreading their pollen. By removing the male plants from the female ones and letting them flower in another room, it is possible to collect the pollen. The pollen can be stored in a refrigerator for a long time. If you apply a small amount of pollen with a brush to one of the incipient flowering buds, it is already enough to fertilize the entire branch and make it produce seeds. These seeds will have the same genetics as their ancestors and you can use them perfectly for the next round of cultivation.

Back in the day

In the old days, nothing else was done. By removing the males early, only seedless cannabis grew. This was called Sensimilia. The advent of feminized seeds has made growing a lot easier. There are growers and consumers who believe that cannabis from regular seeds is more potent and balanced, but this has not been proven.
