Maca is a small root of the Maca plant, grown at altitudes of over 3,500 meters. Maca has traditionally been included in the diet of the indigenous people of the Peruvian Andes. Today, the Maca root has evolved into a modern "superfood"!
Maca processing
The maca is hand selected for the best quality. The maca root is then cleaned in natural water and then dried. The temperature causes the starch molecules to break down; this process is called gelatinization (this has nothing to do with animal gelatin). Extracting the starch facilitates digestion and promotes the bioavailability of other nutrients.
Organic (gelatinized) Maca capsules are not genetically modified.
Organic Maca Powder is 100% natural and contains no additives such as sugars, acids, dyes, preservatives, etc.
Usage
