Apigenine
APIGENINE
Apigenine is a colourful flavonoid found in many fruits and vegetables, such as onions and oranges. It is used for dyeing textiles, but has also been extensively tested in animal trials. Research in mice and rats showed that apigenin has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticarcinogenic properties. It is possible that apigenin may play a role in the development of new anti-cancer drugs.
