The Armored Cap is the Captive Cap embedded with a stainless steel shell. This highly requested cap is designed specifically for DynaVap users who prefer to heat up their favorite herbs slowly without the need to spin while using a torch. Thanks to the added mass in the cap, it results in slower, longer, and more thorough extractions. So, it is able to provide full extractions in one or two heat cycles. The added thermal mass leads to extended times of heating up and cooling down. So, to ensure that the Armored Cap stays on the VapCap at all times, it has a tighter fit on the VapCap tip. Be aware that this might lead to scratches in certain titanium and PVD color tips.

For those who like to simplify the VapCap experience and would like to have more consistent heat-ups, induction heaters might be interesting for you. Even though it takes some learning to heat VapCaps, some do not want to be bothered too much with the type of cap, the amount of flames, the right amount of spinning, the right way of heating, and so on. So if you are struggling too much with the torch and have some more cash at hand, DynaVap’s induction heaters will take most of these struggles away. Simply turn it on, put the VapCap in the heating tunnel, and wait until you hear the snap.
DynaVap has released four induction heaters that each have their specialties. The Apollo 2 is an entry-level induction heater and can be your reliable heating station at home. Apollo 2 Rover is the successor of Apollo 2 and the biggest advancement is that Apollo 2 Rover is portable. It also has a longer battery life allowing for more heat-ups per cycle. Then, the
Orion is the lightest of the predecessors and has more features. It heats up as soon as it senses the VapCap and it heats the contents the fastest. Yet, despite being the most lightweight, it allows for fewer heat-ups per charge compared to the Apollo 2 Rover. However, it is easier to carry this one with you and is equipped with a USB slot.
Lastly, in collaboration with Ispire, DynaVape came up with the Wand. This is the only induction heater compatible with concentrates. You have complete temperature control as you can set the temperature with increments of 5 degrees. Furthermore, it is equipped with both a manual and an automatic control system. The manual does more justice as you can fully customize your vaping experience, tailoring it to your exact wishes. However, the automatic mode does what it needs to do, enjoying your favorite flowers without the need for a torch and - without all the hassle.

Once you have ground your herbs, loaded the bowl, and placed the cap, it is ready to be heated. Temperature control for the DynaVap is dedicated to where the flame of the torch hits the cap. If you heat up from further away from the cap, it leads to a longer heat-up time while heating closer to the cap leads to milder and more flavorful hits. It is recommended to use a torch that has one to three flames in a row and continuously turn the DynaVap for even heating. Once you hear the double-click take a light hit from the DynaVap. When you hear two more hits afterward you will know that the DynaVap is cooling down. Wait at least 30 seconds before repeating the heat cycle for even bigger hits.
You can keep vaping until you do not see clouds anymore, heating past this line can risk combustion. You know you have been heating well if the vaped contents have the color of dark brown and easily disintegrate if you crumble it between your fingers.
Once you have used up all the contents, allow it to cool off completely and clear the chamber after the session. Not only are you making it easier for yourself in the future, but it will keep the VapCap cleaner in the long run. Thereby decreasing the need for deep cleaning sessions. Use the tail of the cap to scoop out the contents.

Because the VapCaps do not rely on batteries, the type of torch will impact your vaping experience. A regular lighter would work but it would take (too) much time to fully heat the contents to the ideal temperature, therefore a torch is a better option. A torch with one or two flames will heat the contents slowly, giving you more control over the temperature. If you use a torch with three or even four flames, it will lead to faster heating time and might be more useful for outdoor vaping. However, be mindful that it requires some practice as it increases the risk of burning. In the end, it boils down to personal preference.
The following are tips on how to get big hits with your DynaVap vaporizers.
Disclaimer: these guidelines for cleaning were specifically performed on the DynaVap M, however, they can be applied to any VapCap. If your VapCap has a wooden body, make sure to take this off first.
Step 1: Dissemble all the parts
When you take your VapCap apart, make sure that you have the cap, tip, body, and condenser separately. Take the O-rings off from the condenser and set it aside with the Cap.
Important: do NOT take the O-rings off the tip, these O-rings can survive exposure to both heating and isopropyl alcohol! In fact, the O-rings on the tip should remain on it at all times.
Step 2: Merge the parts in isopropyl alcohol
It is important to merge the tip, body, and condenser in isopropyl (iso) alcohol. The DynaVap Tube is made to aid in cleaning as you can place all the parts inside and fill it with iso. If you use the tube, then you can close it securely and shake it to help to get the stubborn residue off. Let it sit for at least 1-2 hours long, preferably overnight.
Step 3: Get rid of the isopropyl alcohol and let it dry
Before you are going to take out the parts of the iso, shake the tube (if you are using one or if you can with the equipment that you are using now). Then, get rid of the iso, put the parts on a paper towel, and let it air dry for 5-10 minutes. Use a paper towel rolled into ‘sticks’ or cotton swabs to get stubborn residue from the surface. Use a form of floss or other dedicated bong cleaning to clean the inside of the condenser.
Step 4: Put your VapCap together again
Once all the parts are looking clean and dry, it is time to put the parts together again. Start with placing the O-rings back on the condenser. If you have difficulties putting them on the condenser, you can use a little saliva or DynaWax as lubrication. Once the O-rings are in the right place and are secured, place the condenser back in the body. Put the tip and replace the cap on it too. Do a heat cycle on the cap and body as the last finishing step.
Cleaning is done, now vape on!
Place the DynaCoil in the bowl, load your cannabis extract with your loading tool, and heat it regularly. Some DynaVap users have reported that it is best to preheat the bowl directly first before putting the cap on. If you are using an induction heater, it is often necessary to heat it several seconds past the click for thick vapor production.
The DynaCoil is also easy to clean. Often it is enough to seep the DynaCoil in hot water. However, using isopropyl alcohol might do a better job of getting harder residue out. It is recommended when using iso to seep it in hot water afterward as the coil prevents solvents from evaporating as quickly.
Expect to clean the DynaCoil weekly if you use it regularly.
Induction heaters are nice to have but are not required to have great vaping sessions. It has been recommended to get an induction heater especially if you like to use the vaporizer outside or inside with a fan running as the torch flame might be easily influenced by weather conditions and wind.
Combustion is when you have heated the content for too long. If you check the contents after using it, it comes out dark or ashy white. It can also be identified by a yellowish color. If you inhale combustion, it tastes like burned food and might make you cough a lot. Practice makes perfect and there is a learning curve that leads to less combustion. Be wary of these specific factors that could directly cause combustion:
