Dutch Dragon

Dutch Dragon won the 1st prize at the 2006 Highlife Cannabis Cup 2006 in the Bio category. First released in the early 90’s and then improved in the early 00’s, Dutch Dragon is one of Paradise Seeds’ original strains. Big harvest potential is a way to describe this plant, which has remained a popular choice ever since it first came out. 

The origins of it can be traced back to Swaziland, in Africa, where it comes from. Brought to Europe some years ago, the swazi genetics was mixed with Dutch breeds to enhance its growth and yield reliability. Now, Dutch Dragon is the type of plant that simply won’t stop growing. Bushy and sturdy, like most sativas, this is a plant full of gifts. 

Precisely because of its tendency to grow no matter where it sits, this plant will never cease to search for light. As such, this plant can pose a certain challenge to those with limited indoors spaces. It is possible to tame it, however, allowing the plant to adapt to a smaller environment. In a big enough space, Dutch Dragon is a blessing that grows fast, vigorously and with promising yields. 

If indoors the plant’s growth might need to be contained, outdoors it can stretch, unrestrained, towards the sky. Dream of every beginner, this plant can reach heights of up to 3 meters and above! In southern climates, Dutch Dragon will feel at home and grow with ease. In colder regions, like those in the northern hemisphere, growers should ensure the plant is cut only after mid October.

If the environment is right, this plant will exceed the expectations. Otherwise, it will still give off a reasonable harvest that will make it difficult for you to complain. The name Dragon Dutch does not come without a reason, the sweet tasting buds of these plants are as thick as a dragon’s tail!
