You get a Trainwreck plant, then you mix it with some Salmon Creek Big Bud and Caboose, the new variety is formed. From Trainwreck, it gets the purple and reddish tones that some phenotypes present in the calyxis; from Salmon Creek Big Bud, well, the name already tells: it gets the big big buds.
Caboose is a plant of short stature, compact and of short internodes_ there is under 5cm distance between each node_. Bearing the same irregular bud formation as that of the Trainwreck, Caboose is also known for its larger than average calyxes. It is precisely because of this (rare) combination of big bud, big calyx that this plant is ideal for commercial growers.
Developing strong lateral branches, which sometimes may require some extra support, Caboose has grown to become a good filler and a big producer. Outdoors, the plant can deliver up to 1kg of dried buds while indoors, 900g/m² can still be expected. When it comes to resin production, Caboose is also a giver, delivering some great looking resin of excellent quality.
It took several years of trial and error before this famous Californian cut was developed. Good to grow in all mediums, Caboose can even take high EC levels, especially when in an already healthy shape.
Of complex aroma and flavours, the effects of the plant are of an intricate composition on their own right. Starting off with a trippy ride, you will at first feel as if an insurmountable amount of weight has been lifted from you. Still enjoying this sensation, you will then notice the warm waves that the plant creates in your body. A mellow and calm vibe will then reign, sending you straight to the couchlock state. This is not a strain for those who want to be productive.
