But you had to watch out! The vapor quality was all about that moisture content. Rolling tobacco might have been too dry for it, and, as a consequence, it might not have produced as much vapor as juicier herbs. Other factors such as how much you used, how you packed it, the temperature, and how hard you drew on it may also have played a role in the quality of your vaping experience. How to use PAX 2

If you still own this vaporizer and you are trying to figure out how to use PAX 2, look no further. Below you will find an easy step-by-step guide for a seamless experience. You'll find navigating your vaporizer to be a breeze!

1. Grind your material

To maximize vapor production, grind your dry herbs to a medium consistency using your preferred grinding tool. Make sure you don’t grind it too thin, as this will lead to a poorer vaping experience. As a rule of thumb, you should aim for a consistency close to that of loose tea.

2. Load the material in the oven

Carefully open the magnetic oven lid to expose the heating chamber. Now, evenly distribute your ground material in the oven, making sure it's packed firmly. Utilize the lid to press down on the contents. Whether you're in for a full vaping experience or a shorter session, you can choose to fill the oven to its maximum capacity or only halfway. Be cautious not to overpack; a good rule is that no material should fall out if you shake the vaporizer with the oven lid off. Once you've packed the material, simply put the lid back on.

3. Pick the mouthpiece of your preference and turn it on

PAX 2 vapes offered two mouthpiece choices: flat or raised. Choose the one you prefer and power up by pressing the center of the mouthpiece or by removing it altogether. Within 30 to 60 seconds, your vape will reach the desired temperature, indicated by pulsing purple LED petals that turn green when ready. Take gentle draws to enjoy the vapor. Note that the green LED lights may pulse a bit faster during inhalation, this is perfectly normal. Depending on the temperature setting, a full oven can last anywhere between 10 and 25 draws.

4. Adjust the temperature

The PAX 2 temperature settings can be accessed by holding down the button on the mouthpiece until the LED petals become solid or change color. Once in the temperature setting, quickly press the mouthpiece button to cycle through the four options. The lights will transition from green to yellow, and then orange to red, indicating the highest temperature. Once you've chosen your preferred temperature, exit the settings by holding down the mouthpiece or simply shaking the device. For first-time use, we recommend starting with the 2nd (yellow) or 3rd (orange) temperature options.

5. Draw in the vapor

After heating, indulge in slow, intentional draws to relish the flavor and effects of your chosen material. Aim for a gentle hit lasting about 3 seconds; keep in mind that longer or harder draws won't necessarily produce more vapor. In fact, they might result in an overly hot device. If this occurs, consider lowering the temperature setting or opting for shorter draws. To prevent overheating, hold the device while heating to dissipate the heat more effectively. If you leave your vaporizer unattended during heating and then pick it up, it might feel much hotter. If you still find the device too hot, try holding it closer to the mouthpiece and away from the oven. If there are no unusual LED blinking, and your device isn't turning on or off unexpectedly, it's behaving as it should.

6. Turn it off

Once you've finished your session, power down your device by swiftly pressing the mouthpiece button. Remember: even if you forget, the vaporizer will automatically turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity. To conserve battery and material, PAX 2 initiates a gradual cooldown when left untouched for over 30 seconds. If it doesn't detect your lips for more than 20 seconds, it slightly lowers the internal temperature, ensuring your next hit is just right. When the vape is in motion standby mode, the LED petals will glow blue.

Charging the PAX 2

The PAX 2 came with a quick-charging feature, typically taking about 2 to 3 hours for a full charge, which ensured minimal downtime between sessions. To charge, you simply connected the device to the charging dock and plugged the USB into a computer or another outlet adaptor. When the device started charging, the LED white petals began pulsating. As it became charged, each of the four petals stopped pulsating and turned solid, with each petal representing 25% of the charge. The device was ready to use when all four petals were lit up and had stopped pulsating. During use, you could check the battery level by gently shaking the PAX 2. If you saw a red pulsating petal, it was time for a recharge.

Warning: Lithium-ion batteries may pose rare but serious safety risks, especially in extreme temperatures. Charge your device between 0 °C to 35 °C to prevent potential safety hazards.

How to clean the PAX 2

If you own a PAX 2, you're likely aware that regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance, as with any vaporizer. It's important to clean your PAX 2 every few sessions or as needed, based on how frequently you use it.

To clean it, you can use the maintenance kit that came with it. Below, you can find an easy step by step guide for this process: 

1. Remove both the mouthpiece and oven lid.
2. Dip a pipe cleaner or wire brush into isopropyl alcohol and insert the cleaner into the vapor pathway to pop out the oven screen. Make sure to squeeze out any excess alcohol before doing this.
3. Use a flossing motion back and forth through the vapor path to eliminate any build-up or residue.
4. Clean the interior of the oven and the device's top using a Q-tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol.
5. Soak the silicone mouthpiece and oven screen in a cup of isopropyl alcohol. Note: Do not submerge the oven lid in any type of liquid!
6. Now you are all set. All you need to do is to reattach the oven screen and the mouthpiece to your PAX 2. Make sure that they are completely dry before doing this!
7. Now, power on your device and let it reach the desired temperature. Allow it to cool before your next use.
